Performance Recovery Program For Under-Performing Clients
Daimler Bus was looking for an alternative to re-possessing motorcoaches from financially delinquent clients. Re-claiming buses is a value eroding and costly practice. CAPITALWORKS was asked to develop a rapid corporate due diligence process to evaluate the sustainability of business who were having financial challenges. A rapid assessment template for due diligence was developed that included: cost analysis, client portfolio analysis, pricing analysis, competitor and local market analysis, the sales and marketing program and their vehicle maintenance program. The goal was to develop a corporate recovery strategy and plan that would be a requirement for any bus re-finance program. The program was piloted successfully with a California Bus Company. Not only did the bus company experience a turnaround, they developed strategic partners in new markets that resulted in additional bus sales to the company.
