Vendor Contract Due Diligence

Toledo Public Schools has contracted with an outside vendor for all of its high school transportation services. The school district felt that the service requirements did not match the contracted level of service. CAPITALWORKS was requested to conduct a due diligence audit of the contract to determine the required level of service, to develop a break-even cost point for the district to provide service, to re- set the contract values and terms of the contract and to establish a new set of performance analytics. The result was that the district saved $350,000 dollars in the last 2 months of the school year and the contract value was lowered by $2m for each year of the remaining 2 year term.
